Richard, Edward and I have been out on Kinder Scout today making the most of the low cloud and poor visibility practising navigation techniques. We looked at range of techniques including contour interpretation, timing, bearings and route finding covering ground on both the Northern and Southern edges of the plateau. Thankfully the weather did clear as the day progressed leaving a bright but breezy late afternoon. I have been working for James Thacker Mountaineering.
